Kia’s midsize SUV received a full refresh in 2023, so it carries forward with just a few small updates for the new model year. Get to know the award-winning 2024 Kia Telluride if you’re in the market for an elegant, expansive three-row family vehicle.
Introducing the 2024 Kia Telluride
Interior Space and Features
The Telluride can accommodate up to eight passengers with plenty of space and style. It also has above-average cargo space for a midsize SUV, with a total of 87 cubic feet when you fold down the second and third rows.
Standard comfort and convenience features include proximity keyless entry, remote start, push-button start, and dual-zone automatic climate control. You can customize your cabin with available options like a sunroof, garage door opener, auto-dimming rearview mirror, ambient LEDs, and a digital keycard.
Performance and Fuel Economy
Kia has equipped the 2024 Telluride with a 291-horsepower V6. It comes with an eight-speed automatic and front-wheel drive, but you can upgrade any of the 10 trims to all-wheel drive. With the base powertrain, you’ll get an average of 20 city and 26 highway miles per gallon.
Despite its impressive size, the Telluride is designed to handle tight turns. It can also tow up to 5,500 pounds with the right equipment. This SUV has 8.4 inches of ground clearance, so it’s ready to take on even the toughest trails.
Technology
Standard tech features in the Telluride include a 12.3-inch touchscreen that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Every trim also has a six-speaker stereo with satellite radio, five USB ports, Bluetooth, and a wireless hotspot.
If you want even more tech, you can select one of the higher 2024 Telluride trims. They come with features like a 10-speaker premium Harman Kardon stereo, a rear-seat entertainment system with dual screens, an intercom, two household-style power outlets, wireless charging, a 12-inch digital gauge cluster, and an extra USB port. An upgraded dash with twin panoramic display screens is also available.
Safety and Driver Assistance
Kia offers a generous package of standard driver assistance tech in the Telluride. All trims have blind spot monitoring, forward collision warning, rear-seat alert, rear parking sensors, automatic high beams, adaptive cruise control with lane centering, lane departure warning with lane-keep assist, rear cross-traffic alert, traffic sign recognition, driver attention monitoring, pedestrian and cyclist detection, and a rearview camera.
Last year’s model was named a Top Safety Pick+ by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. With few changes, the 2024 Telluride will likely have similar crash test results.
When you test-drive the Kia Telluride, you’ll see why it was named the Best Three-Row SUV for Families four times in a row by US News and World Report. It also comes in 10 different trims, so it’s easy to find a version that fits your needs. Schedule your appointment with the team at University Kia today.
